To configure your Rediffmail Enterprise or RediffmailPro account in Microsoft Outlook, you can use either IMAP or POP3 server settings. First here are the values you will need –

IMAP Settings (Recommended)

  • Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): imap.rediffmailpro.com
  • Incoming Port: 993 (Requires SSL: Yes)
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.rediffmailpro.com
  • Outgoing Port: 465, 587, or 586 (Requires SSL: Yes)
  • Username / Account Name: Your full professional email address
  • Authentication: Enable outgoing SMTP authentication using the same settings as your incoming server.

POP Settings

  • Incoming Mail Server (POP): pop.rediffmailpro.com
  • Incoming Port: 995 (Requires SSL: Yes)
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.rediffmailpro.com
  • Outgoing Port: 465, 587, or 586 (Requires SSL: Yes)
  • Username / Account Name: Your full professional email address
  • Authentication: Required to enter username and password for outgoing server.

Step-by-Step Configuration in Outlook

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and go to File > Add Account (or Account Settings > New).
  2. Choose Manual setup or additional server types / Let me set up my account manually, then click Next.
  3. Select POP or IMAP (or Internet E-Mail).
  4. Enter your name and full Rediffmail Enterprise email address.
  5. Select your Account Type (IMAP or POP3) and input the corresponding server names listed above.
  6. Enter your full email address as the User Name and your account password.
  7. Click on More Settings, navigate to the Outgoing Server tab, and check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication (use same settings as incoming).
  8. Go to the Advanced tab to verify that SSL is enabled and the port numbers (993 or 995 for incoming, 465/587 for outgoing) are correct.
  9. Click OK, then complete the wizard by clicking Next and Finish.
